I get a lot of questions about how I make my iced latte at home when I share it in Instagram stories, so I thought I would share the all the details on what products I use and the recipe here! It is quite simple honestly and less time consuming than the hot latte, but you will definitely need a good espresso machine. In the past, I have called it just an “iced coffee” on stories, but it is technically a latte as it is made with espresso and not just your everyday coffee beans.
A FEW THINGS
We have had our espresso machine for a two and a half years now and we love it! It was quite an investment initially, but we have used it everyday for over two years, and definitely think it is worth it. There are more affordable options on the market, but I cannot personally guarantee that something at a lower price point would produce the same quality drinks. This is a more affordable version of our machine and this machine is under $200 and has really great reviews!
I know a lot of people use the Nespresso machines, which are more affordable, but that brings me to my next tip! Good espresso beans are a must so I buy beans from my favorite coffee shop and it makes my at-home latte identical to the one I buy at the shop! As far as I know you cannot use your own freshly ground beans with the Nespresso.
Finally, one of my secrets is using a good insulated mug to keep your coffee hot or cold all day so that you can sip on it as slow as you want. I use this Hydro Flask and LOVE IT for keeping my latte both hot and cold. It is a must.
