It should come as no surprise that the first thing I did when I found out the gender was to immediately buy clothing for baby girl. I have obviously kept some items from when Charlotte was a baby, but I still wanted to add a few new quality items into the mix. I am so picky when it comes to baby clothes because they can so easily become a giant time consuming hassle that finding things I like are few and far between. It is important to me that our babies clothes are made from nice fabric, are practical, and obviously go with my aesthetic. If you are a first time parent, you will quickly learn that zippers and footed clothing are your best friend. I will include why I chose each piece below as well as sizing information.
H&M WRAPOVER BODYSUITS | I love to use these for daily wear. Because they button and wrap over you don’t have to worry about pulling tight fabric over your brand new babies head. I loved pairing these with their footed pants as well (having footed pants for the first few months is nice because socks just DO NOT stay on). These are TTS.
H&M LEOPARD SET | It doesn’t get much cuter than this set. This set does not button and the pants are not footed, so it would be best for around 4-6 months when baby gets a little bigger and socks stay on a bit better! It runs TTS in my opinion.
BOW HEADBANDS | Every baby girl needs a bow headband. I love that these are on the smaller side and you can pick your color combo!
CLAY RUFFLE SNAP FOOTIE | The color of this footie is just a little lighter in person, but I am still just obsessed with it! The fabric is such nice quality and the ruffles are so darn cute. This does not have built in mittens and it snaps so it might be best used for a baby who is a little older with a only a few late night feedings :). We haven’t worn this yet obviously but it looks to me that it might run a little small.
PINK KNOTTED SLEEPER | I didn’t use these with Charlotte but I have heard they are super nice for quick changes and late night feedings. This sleeper specifically is made of organic cotton which is definitely a plus. I will update you on fabric once I receive it in the mail.
CONVERTIBLE ZIP GOWN | This gown seems super practical for newborns. It zips so there if so need to pull it over babies head, it has built in mittens, and it has an easy opening for changes. It is the same fabric as the ruffle snap footie above, so I already know I will love everything about this! Adding to cart ASAP!
POSH PEANUT RUFFLE SLEEPERS | These sleepers are soooo WONDERFUL. Not only are they super soft, but they zip BOTH WAYS, have non-slip grips on the feet for older babies, have built in mittens for babies under 3 months, and have the cutest ruffle detail and colors! I have already purchased this in the leopard and gray, but the pink is next on my list.
TURBAN BOW HATS | I have never been a big fan of the turbans but I love that these have a bow instead of a bun. These will be perfect for keeping babies head warm in those first few months! I can’t wait to get my hands on some.
Happy Shopping!
