Baby Number Two's Nursery - The Lane to Fashion

I am no interior designer by any means, but I have definitely enjoyed designing baby numbers two’s nursery! Along the way, I did face a few challenges and had to make a couple of changes, but I am definitely so happy with the way it turned out. After designing Charlotte’s nursery the first time, I knew I wanted to go a completely different direction. I didn’t want the design to reflect the typical nursery with a ton of adolescent touches, I wanted it to feel classic and functional. The idea behind this nursery was to highlight femininity but to keep it classy with vintage furniture, floral accents, and touches of blush. I like to think of it as somewhat of a French Garden theme.

I started the design by making an inspo board and then began few DIY projects. I found a French Provincial dresser on Facebook Marketplace and painted it using Mason Blanc paint in the color Wrought Iron and finished it with this varnish (I kept the original gold hardware). Painting the dresser made such a huge difference immediately – it is definitely the statement piece of the room. Next, the vintage coat hooks I had originally found on Etsy sold out, so I decided to make my own. I purchased these affordable gold hooks from Ebay, painted them black with spray paint, and then added a layer of Rub N’ Buff in the color Antique Gold. This created the perfect gold vintage look. My final DIY project was just adding a simple ivory ribbon to the dried Eucalyptus Bundle I purchases from AFloral. Once my projects were finished I completed the room with some simple accents like a faux olive tree and blush curtains.
