I am so excited to share Charlotte’s first birthday party with you! This was so fun to plan because it was my FIRST baby’s FIRST birthday party! I wanted the decor for her party to be unique, but still simple, soft, and feminine. The decorations turned out perfectly, everything looked beautiful, and the evening was so much fun! I am calling the theme of her party a “Butterfly Rose Garden”. The decor ranged in color from peach to rose pink and blush, and incorporated fresh greenery, roses, carnations, tulips, and life-like butterflies.
THE BALLOON ARCH
The party had four main vocal points; the balloon arch, the cake table, the high chair decor, and the table decor. The balloon arch was the star of the show in my opinion. The matte peach balloons were accented with peach roses, life-like cream colored butterflies, and willow eucalyptus. I searched and searched for the perfect color of balloons for the arch, and was lucky enough to find them in a ready-to-go kit HERE. I simply placed the roses and the willow eucalyptus in the areas of the arch that had larger holes and then attached the butterflies sporadically throughout. You can purchase the exact butterflies HERE. I love that the butterflies looked so realistic. and added such a fun touch to the arch! All of the fresh flowers and greenery came from My Flower Barn, the same florist who did our wedding.
THE CAKE TABLE
The cake table sat right beneath the balloon arch and held the beautiful cake from Mulberries Cake Shop and the perfectly decorated cookies from The Sprinkle Shop. I placed a newborn photo of Charlotte in a simple white picture frame, that I thought added such a sweet and special touch. There was also pink and white carnations placed on the table to add in some color. I have always loved pink depression glass so I was so excited to use the plates for the cookies and a boat-like dish to hold the gold forks.
As for the cake, I chose a simple topper in a rose toned pink, that didn’t take away from the detail of the cake (you can shop the topper HERE). The gold terrarium that was used as the card holder is from Michael’s, but I linked a similar one HERE. And finally the pink plates with rose details are linked HERE.
THE HIGH CHAIR DECOR
I wanted the high chair to look extra special as I knew the majority of the “memorable pictures” of Charlotte would be taken in it. It was adorned with a beautiful floral arrangement created by Diane at My Flower Barn that had a mix of eucalyptus, carnations, and peach roses. I also added a large matte peach balloon with a tassel tail on the side of the chair and accented it with one of the larger butterflies. You can shop the exact balloon HERE. For the “smash” pictures, Charlotte wore this adorable party hat that is completely customizable. I was so surprised that she didn’t try to rip it off once!
THE TABLE DECOR
Finally for the table decor, I placed three vases, each filled with water and two light pink tulips in the center of the table. I then positioned two gold wooden candle sticks with a pink and white carnation in the center of the vases. In order to create a similar look, there are unfinished wooden candlesticks linked HERE and gold paint linked HERE. As you can see by the photo I placed the heads of pink and white carnations throughout the center of the table, attached a few butterflies to the vases, and put glasses down for place settings. These floral embossed glasses matched the rest of the decor perfectly! Below is a shot of another way I used the glasses to add to the overall party decor.
