As you probably already know I am pretty obsessed with skincare, so naturally my skincare product and tool arsenal is always expanding. I am continuously learning about all of the best products, tools, techniques, and even about my own skin! Because of all my latest skincare finds, I have developed what I call my “boujee skincare routine”. I have been using two of these tools for quite some time, but the Gua Sha is brand new to my routine and it is amazing! Continue to read below if you are interested in how I use each tool and in conjunction with what products.

I have shared my ice roller on many occasions on the blog and Instagram. I try to use it everyday if possible and in the AM specifically, because it really helps to de-puff. I have actually found that the ice roller helps with a multitude of skin issues including acne and fine lines. I typically wash my face and apply skincare as normal prior to using the ice roller, but I do love to use my Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Eye patches in conjunction. The cooling affect is so good! Oh and one more thing, I ice roll in the same manner I use my Gua Sha for lymphatic drainage- working from the center of the face, out and down the neck first, and then give attention to problem areas such as acne and fine lines.
I have been incorporating Gua Sha for lymphatic drainage and facial sculpting in the evening before bed. I alternate this with my Lightstim because of the products I use in conjunction with each. I currently use my Gua Sha in conjunction with a retinol, Celery Green Cream, the Shishedo eye cream, and the Herbivore Lapis Oil. I have been following along with Jennifer Adell’s tutorials on IG and following many of her recommendations so I too can become a Gua Sha pro 🙂
It is important NOT to use a Retinol or acid when using the LightStim as it can cause extra irritation. Therefore I use my Snow Mushroom Serum, Hyaluronic Acid Intensifier, and the Youth to the People Dream Mask before light therapy. I typically just do some session on all areas of the face but when I have more time, I put extra attention on problem areas such as my smile lines.
