Although it’s only been three years since I was last expecting, there are quite a few new baby items out there I haven’t used or I just chose to skip out on last time. I only have a select few items I am trying, because let’s get real I went crazy with purchasing baby items as a first time mom, but I thought that these items were worth the mention, especially the new pumping/nursing products. The new Elvie Wearable Pump for example is such an great amazing new innovation, I am excited to give it a try! I will definitely keep you updated on my thoughts once baby girl is here, but for now I have a description below on why I chose to try each.
As usual, each item in the image below can be shopped with a click.
BJORN BABY BOUNCER | Last time around I used the Rock N’ Play which has been recalled and is no longer being made, so I decided I wanted to get something different. This bouncer has amazing reviews and to top it off is so aesthetically pleasing. I hope she loves it because it is pricey!
ALI+OLI PACI HOLDER | This Paci holder is so much more practical than the one I had with Charlotte. It zips open, it can easily be wiped clean, it’s cute, and it can attach to a diaper bag. I will love this.
MUSLIN BURP CLOTHES | With Charlotte I discovered I like a big and thin burp cloth. I love the look of these and they are exactly that – big, thin, and very soft!
ELVIE WEARABLE BREAST PUMP | This is probably the item I am most excited about. I hated being attached to a wall while I was pumping with my first so I had to give this pump a try. The idea of being able to make breakfast or vacuum while pumping makes me so happy!
DAISY PACIFIER | This Paci is just too cute to pass up. It has a nipple that is the same shape and material (rubber) as the one Charlotte loved (Natursutton) so I bought both – hoping baby number two loves this one though because it is just so darn cute.
HAAKAA MANUAL BREAST PUMP | I grabbed this for two reasons. One, last time there were so many times my breasts were uncomfortable and full, so I had to manually pump in the car with just my hands, which can be kind of painful. It will be so nice to have this on hand for those occasions. And two, I will use this to catch let down on my opposite breast while nursing. Previously I had one that would sit in my bra, but it was difficult to transfer to a table in the middle of breast feeding without spilling all over. I am happy this can sit up on its own.
HONEST CLEAN CONSCIOUS DIAPERS | I didn’t start using Honest diapers with Charlotte until she was a bit older so I am excited to use their new updated clean conscious diapers on baby number two. I love Honest for so many reasons; they don’t leak, they prevent more blowouts, they are made from clean materials, and they come in the cutest patterns. I especially love that the newborn comes with a space for the belly button, it has a leak indicator, and there is an option to have a plain white diapers. I don’t know why but when they are that little, I like the idea of a simple white diaper.
QUILTED CHANGING PADS | Two things I love about these changing pads, they are thick so they won’t be moving around a bunch underneath baby, and two they roll up and stay rolled up for on-the-go. I will still use THESE changing pads for lining different baby seats, swings, and bouncers, however.
BASSINET | I wanted to use something a bit smaller this time around, so I decided on this aesthetically pleasing and portable basinet. This is considered a bedside sleeper, but I will not be using it that way. It will sit in our room but not right next to me while I sleep because I don’t want to create a crutch.
Happy Shopping!
