I am so excited to share this style guide! Last week, I asked my Instagram followers for new blog post ideas, and was was asked to find stylish outfits appropriate for student teaching. Many of you may not now that I have my Masters in Special Education, and that I taught at an alternative school for four years prior to having Charlotte.
Although I am a teacher, this style guide was a bit of a challenge for me, because the school I worked at had a very laid back and casual dress code. Basically I have never had to pick out and style clothing on the dressier side, so this was different, but very fun! I am calling this style guide business casual because they are not strictly for teachers. Any of these items can be worn in any environment where the dress code doesn’t allow blue jeans.
Because I live in Colorado and so do many of my followers I varied my outfits so that they would be appropriate for both warmer and colder days. I also tried to use a few of the pieces throughout a few different outfits in order to show you how versatile some of the items are.
This first look is more appropriate for colder weather. These paper-bag pants are super flattering and pair perfectly with this puff sleeve sweater.
This is probably my favorite business casual look in this whole style guide. I am in love with this suede bag and this black denim is so versatile- they can be dressed up or dressed down for drinks after work.
In love with these snakeskin booties, but I know they are not for everyone, so I suggest a good black bootie or nude mule as a replacement.
Ok, I lied. This is my favorite look by far. I love the tie details at the bottom of this denim and I am a sucker for leopard print. On top of that, this color combo is to die for and don’t even get me started on this bodysuit.
Simple, girly, and appropriate. Love everything about this outfit.
Happy Shopping!
